Camberwell entered 9 teams in the annual Cross Country Relays held at Coburg.
The most successful junior team on the day was the Under 16A team of Justin Verrocchi, Sam Cooke, Tom Li and Hanson Wong, who finished 10th.
The U14A team of Cameron Doig, Tom Neal-Williams, David Liu and David Thorn ran a creditable 14th.
In the junior 4 x 3km races, other excellent runs came from Michael McCarthy and Jan Uwland, who looked considerably in his second hit out for the season.
The senior 4 x 4km event saw some tough competition from AGS and APS schools as well as many other runners from throughout Victoria.
CGS' best result was 18th in the U/18 and 10th in the U/20, where Dustin Biernacki, Lawrence Foster, Daniel Gray and Tom Bath all ran solid splits. Dustin's 16:00 was the fastest CGS time of the day.
Other commendable senior runs came from: Daimon Ewart, Phil Tai, James Johnstone and Hugh Banfield on debut.
It was encouraging to see significant improvement from many runners, with times considerably faster than AGSV Round 1. Keep up the training!
