Round 6 of the AGSV season was hosted by Mentone at the Mordialloc Creek Wetlands. Refreshed after a 2 week break, many CGS athletes returned to racing with fresh legs and free of the niggling injuries which were sustained during a long term 2.
Several athletes took a likening to the fast, flat course and posted season best times and places.
Notable runs came from:
Junior: Hanson Wong 4th, Justin V 7th (best and fastest result of season), Tom Li (first time under 4:00 min/km), Ben Craine (fastest time)
Intermediate: James Majer (fast time), Ryan Lee (season best time), Wayne Cheung (6th straight improved time)
Senior: James Johnstone (best and fastest result of the season), Dustin Biernacki (great Captain's effort despite illness), Jeffrey Wang (fast time), Tom Bath (great run - but forgot his tag!)
Junior: 3rd, Intermediate: 5th, Senior: 5th
